Filing a Formal Complaint Against CVS Pharmacy in the USA
Introduction
CVS Pharmacy is one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States, known for its wide range of services, including prescription filling. However, many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the company's customer service online and over the phone. One common issue is the difficulty in contacting a human representative, especially when dealing with prescription-related queries that do not fit into the automated system's predefined options.Customer Experiences
Clarence Perry, a long-time customer of CVS Pharmacy, shared his frustration:As a customer for years, I am totally dissatisfied with your systems. I cannot get anything answered or even talk to a human, the damned machine even goes blank when it's supposed to give me some sort of message. I can't get any questions answered, not even during an emergency. Right now, I am in bad pain from some pills and don't know if they were poured up correctly. Going to have them checked, if I don't die first. I am changing companies - this is too much. The last straw. - Clarence Perry, Shalom
Another customer, a nurse, expressed similar frustrations:I am very dissatisfied with CVS pharmacy store and the excessive difficulty that is built into the system that makes it absolutely impossible to ask questions and get information about my prescription medications if it does not fall into the options dictated in the automated phone system of the pharmacy—unless you are a provider. If not, you are asked to choose one of the options on the message or no help. There is no option to speak to a person unless you are a provider. I called with a question that did not align with the options given and there was absolutely no way to speak to a person. Every option I made on the very limited choice of choices trying to reach a human only sent me to the same recording. I went online thinking that there might be a number at the CVS site and found that with every option I chose, even just 'speak to a person' only ended up sending me to the exact useless message asking me to choose a wrong and useless option once again, giving me no option to speak to a person. Every option I chose took me to the same message that only gives options not related to my question/concern unless I was a provider. I have just wasted at least a half hour of my life that I will never get back because of the completely useless automated response of your site. I am so completely aggravated that I will be transferring all of my prescriptions to another company. I am a nurse and knew that my question couldn’t be answered by the options given. Apparently, we customers aren't considered important enough to speak to a human no matter how we try wasting our time trying to figure out ending up spending useless time going back and forth in the automated system. I will not be using CVS ever again and by now, I've wasted an hour of my life because of your useless system and the fact that the only human worth talking to is a medical provider.
