The first course was a Basic Course for Biodiversity Conservationists and an Advanced Course for Para-taxonomists, both of 3 months duration. Ninety-four trainees successfully completed the Basic Course and qualified as skilled Biodiversity Conservationists, while 152 trainees completed the Advanced Course, qualifying as skilled Para-taxonomists.
