Navigating GRMI: Curriculum, Placement Status, and Average Packages

I pursued the PGDRM program from GRMI in Gurgaon. The institute offers a comprehensive curriculum in risk management, including practical case studies and live industry speaker sessions. With a 100% placement record and a minimum package of 6 lacs, GRMI promises to support its students in their career journey.

Total Investment for PGDRM

The total investment for the PGDRM program at GRMI is around 12 lacs. This includes a course fee of 10 lacs and 2 lacs for accommodation and miscellaneous expenses. The maximum CTC (Competitive Training Cost) a student can expect to earn is about 5 lacs annually.

If you are satisfied with the return on investment (ROI) provided by GRMI, then joining the program is a welcome decision. However, the program does come with its set of evaluation criteria, which many students are unaware of until they get admitted.

Evaluation Criteria and Placement Status

The passing marks for each subject range from 55 to 60 marks. The failing percentage for the subject Business Value Chain Process Assurance is quite staggering, with only 2 out of 4020 students (from the January batch) and 2 out of 20 (from the June batch) passing. The highest marks obtained in this subject are around 65 marks.

This evaluation process ensures that students are thoroughly prepared before they enter the job market. If a student fails more than two subjects in a year, they will not be eligible for guaranteed placements. In such a scenario, students who have been associated with good management books might have the chance to reappear for the failed papers, but they might also be required to accept positions that offer lower salaries in non-Big 4 companies.

Placement Scenario and Average Packages

Many students who are struggling with their placements end up losing their enthusiasm for choosing companies or packages similar to what top B-schools offer their students. The best placements GRMI guarantees include positions at PwC with a minimum package of around 5 lacs p.a. However, for the more ambitious and dream-oriented students, places at a package of 7 lacs p.a. can be obtained.

Note that specific details about the highest and median package are not provided by GRMI, and it is recommended to refer to their advertisements for more information.
