Expertise in a Specific Area: Choose a topical area in which you wish to establish an expertise. Start with a specific interest and widen its implications. My interests include Russian aviation and European soccer, but the choice should align with your passion and interest. Become a Master Writer: Practice creative and technical writing skills. Become a writer that people love to read, focusing on native language proficiency. If you aspire to work in broadcast journalism, also hone your writing skills. Study Quality Journalism: Regularly read long-form journalism from reputable sources. Stay updated by listening to interviews with noted journalists discussing their craft. Find Inspirational Writers: Identify writers who inspire you, whether they are fiction or non-fiction. They can provide direction and motivation.
