Perkins Perfect Eggs: A Fast Food Lovers Dream To answer the question,

Perkins' Perfect Eggs: A Fast Food Lover's Dream

To answer the question, which restaurant chain has the best eggs in the fast food realm, many would argue that Perkins stands out. I, for one, eat their omelets and find them to be beyond anything I could make at home or have experienced at other places.

Defining 'Best'

However, the answer to this question largely depends on personal preference. If by 'best' you mean the most delicious, then Perkins would certainly be top of the list. But if you're looking for the most customizable or healthiest option, opinions might vary due to different taste and dietary preferences.

Personal Preference Matters

I have a specific taste for eggs. I do not prefer egg whites and I avoid undercooked eggs. Additionally, I find omelets to be too chewy. For me, a scrambled egg with added ingredients is the way to go. Previously, there was a restaurant that served eggs in a manner I enjoyed, but it unfortunately closed down. However, International House of Pancakes (IHOP) does an acceptable job with their eggs.

Croissanwich: A Fast Food Favorite

Another fast food option that pleases me is the Croissanwich. It's a simple but satisfying choice, especially when you're in a hurry. IHOP continues to serve decent plates of eggs quickly. Recently, I've heard that many IHOP locations are closing down, which might suggest the chain is not doing well financially. Despite that, the eggs they serve are still a reliable choice.

The State of Fast Food Eggs

Many fast food chains, including Sonic, which is known for their Toasties, offer breakfast sandwiches featuring eggs, cheese, and meat between slices of buttered and grilled toast. While not the worse option, I would describe them as mediocre at best. Most fast food chains now use powdered eggs or some form of 'redi-eggs', which results in eggs that are flat, square, and consistently folded in quarters. Depending on your definition of 'fast food', the option you get might be more appealing. Corned beef hash with a dropped or sunny-side-up egg is often a better choice, although it's not available everywhere.

Realistic Expectations

It's important to recognize that asking for the 'best' or 'healthiest' fast food in a comparison often leads to humorous and subjective answers. Just as it would be difficult to find something worse or less healthy than any fast food item, the same can be said for eggs in fast food chains. Chains like Subway, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Burger King, and Croissanwich remain popular choices among fast food lovers.
