As a Senior Manager in the FS Operations Advisory/Consulting office in London, I was assigned to a large project in Abu Dhabi. This involved leading a work stream in a project where two major banks were merging to become the largest bank in the Middle East. The opportunity to work internationally, away from home, was exciting. Company-provided accommodations and travel expenses made the experience more manageable, even though it required significant dedication.

The intense work involved late nights and frequent travel, yet the support from family and colleagues made the journey worthwhile. Volunteering projects, such as organizing a Dragons Den event for schoolchildren, allowed me to contribute to the community while enhancing my skills.
