Recruitment Scenario in the 2024 Placement Session

In the 2024 placement session, VIT Vellore saw an impressive participation of 904 companies, offering a total of 14,345 job opportunities across various programs. The highest offer received was a remarkable 1.02 crores, with the average annual package standing at 9.23 lakhs. Notable recruiters included Udaan, Snapdeal, Aspire, Amazon, VISA, KPIT, PayPal, Myntra, and MRF.

Historical Placements: A Decade of Excellence

Basically, the concept of campus placement in colleges like VIT Vellore is deeply rooted in the Indian engineering education system. Since I have been researching this system for the past 10 years, I can provide accurate historical data on placements. In 2018, the highest placement offer was 39.02 lakhs by Microsoft. In the same year, De Shaw offered approximately 33 lakhs, and PayPal offered around 21 lakhs. A total of 16 students secured super dream offers, but many more were placed with packages lower than these figures. Notably, 82 students received packages of 7 lakhs per annum (LPA) in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
