Why Are There More Gay People Nowadays?

No one is forcing you to go to a Pride Parade, watch gay porn, or even watch shows like 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.' However, these mediums help to spread awareness and understanding about what it means to be LGBTQ.

One might argue that the increased visibility of LGBTQ individuals in media and government policies has been a driving force behind this change. In countries where LGBTQ rights are being recognized and protected, more individuals feel safe and empowered to express their true selves.
