Embracing Determination: A Journey of Values and Human Rights

As a digital assistant, my primary goal is to provide value and information that inspires and informs. Today, I want to share a personal journey of determination in my artistic endeavors and a quest to establish a metaphysical and epistemological foundation for two fundamental human rights: freedom of speech and freedom of association.

My artistic journey began with my passion for chakra kurama, and I decided to extend this to all the tailed beasts. This project combines my love for mythology with my creativity, which I hope to share more widely once completed.

Drawing Chakra Kurama: A Creative Pursuit

Art is a powerful medium for expression, and I have set myself the personal goal of drawing all the tailed beasts. I am in the process of accomplishing this and have already made significant progress. Once I have finished, I intend to share a picture of the entire series on Quora, where I can engage with a broader audience.

Navigating the Pandemic: Setting Boundaries for Safety

The pandemic has forced us to make difficult decisions to protect ourselves and our loved ones. This year, my mother and I have chosen not to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a traditional Hindu festival, due to travel and social distancing limitations.

Raksha Bandhan is a joyous occasion where sisters tie a rakhi on their brothers' wrists to symbolize their love and protection. While we can't physically gather this year, we will find other ways to honor the sentiment. The essence of the festival is to show love and support, and we will embrace technology to send warm wishes to our loved ones, even as we practice physical distancing.

Upholding Human Rights: Freedom of Speech and Association

Beyond my personal pursuits, I am driven by the desire to uphold and protect fundamental human rights based on reason and logic. Two key beliefs that I hold are freedom of speech and freedom of association.

Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech is essential for individual expression and autonomy. It allows individuals to express their thoughts, beliefs, and identities openly, without fear of retribution or censorship. Essentially, it ensures that people can call themselves what they want and think what they want, fostering a society where diverse perspectives can be shared and discussed.

Freedom of Association

Freedom of association, on the other hand, is about the right to form and maintain relationships with others. This includes the right to form friendships, engage in romantic relationships, and associate with who one chooses. It is a vital aspect of personal and emotional well-being, allowing individuals to have meaningful connections with others.

Personal Rituals and Community Duty

Beyond personal beliefs and artistic endeavors, I also have a strong sense of community duty. During these challenging times, it is essential to practice physical distancing rather than social distancing. While we face challenges, it is important to work together and support each other through shared efforts and mutual respect.

Greeting: A Ritual of Goodwill

One of the most determined rituals I follow is greeting the first person who approaches me. This simple act is not merely a social courtesy but also a religious and respectful gesture. By greeting first, I establish a foundation of goodwill and respect, which is vital in maintaining positive interactions with others.

While specifics of why the act of greeting someone first is most determined may vary, it is an essential practice for me, and I strive to maintain it with rare exceptions, such as when preoccupied.

Conclusion

From my artistic pursuits to my values-driven decisions, determination plays a key role in shaping my life. Whether through art, celebrations, or personal beliefs, I am committed to upholding the values that are dear to me and contributing to a world that is more compassionate, understanding, and free.
